The Greek Language and Culture Institute of Evangelismos (GLCI) would like to inform families and individuals that enrolments for 2026 are now open for our programs for children, young people, and adults.

Operating under the auspices and support of the Greek Orthodox Community of WA (Evangelismos), 2026 marks the fifth year of operation of GLCI. We sincerely thank the Greek community of Perth and our families for their ongoing support since the school’s inception.

GLCI continues a proud tradition of over 50 years at the Evangelismos community in teaching Greek language and culture, with many former students now enrolling their own children.

Our purpose is to teach the Greek language and culture using innovative and contemporary teaching approaches. Our programs are open to Hellenes, philhellenes, and students from non-Greek backgrounds who wish to retain, rediscover, or develop a connection with Greek identity.

In addition to classroom learning, students participate in activities such as excursions, museum and university visits, cultural performances, dance lessons, collaborations with schools in Greece and interstate, language competitions, and cooking and cultural workshops.

Over the past four years, the progress and achievements of our students have filled us with pride. Last year, seven students in Years 10–12 successfully completed the Modern Greek ATAR examinations with excellent results.

Our motto, “Your children are our children,” reflects our commitment to providing a nurturing environment where every student feels welcomed and supported.

We cater for students from 4 to 18 years of age, and we also offer adult classes.
