All persons interested in the teaching and learning of Modern Greek in WA are invited to attend WAMGLTA’s AGM. Teachers, parents, school and community leaders, prospective teachers of Modern Greek, and all other Greek and wider community members who have a passion for the advancement and success of the teaching and learning of Modern Greek are encouraged to attend the AGM and to become members of WAMGLTA. Please join us also for our 10th Anniversary, which will be celebrated on this occasion.

The objects of the West Australian Modern Greek Language Teachers’ Association Inc. (WAMGLTA), taken from the WAMGLTA Inc. Rules (Constitution)

A. The objects of the Association are:

  1. To promote the teaching and study of the Modern Greek language in Western Australia;
  2. To provide a forum in which issues affecting Modern Greek language teachers and teaching are discussed;
  3. To undertake activities designed to extend the knowledge of members on all aspects of the Modern Greek language and teaching methodology;
  4. To organise appropriate activities for students of the Modern Greek language;
  5. To edit and publish or arrange for the editing and publication of materials to assist members and students of Modern Greek;
  6. To raise funds by subscription, donation and grants from government and private sources to aid the activities of The West Australian Modern Greek Language Teachers’ Association Inc. (WAMGLTA);
  7. To assist members to extend employment opportunities.
