Dear friends,
With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Perth, we warmly invite our parish families, children and young people to join us for a special Orthodox Youth Day on Monday, 28 September — the Public Holiday Monday of the long weekend.
In collaboration with St Timothy’s Community Meals Program, we are bringing our young people together for a day of faith, fellowship and service, helping to prepare food and care packs for people in need within our community.
A DAY OF FAITH & SERVICE
The day will begin with a church service in the morning, before we come together to help prepare meals, organise donations and make care packs for those doing it tough.
One of the most important things we can teach our children is that our Orthodox Christian faith is not only something we speak about — it is something we live.
Giving our children and young people the opportunity to serve others helps them learn compassion, generosity and the importance of caring for those around us. This Youth Day is a wonderful opportunity for them to get involved directly in the important work of St Timothy’s.
LUNCH PROVIDED
Lunch will be provided for everyone, including a sausage sizzle, and we hope it will be a relaxed and enjoyable day of fellowship for children, youth, parents and volunteers.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO HELP
This day is not only for our young people. Parents, grandparents, parishioners and anyone who would like to volunteer are very welcome to come along and lend a hand.
Free parking will be available – as it is a Public Holiday
REGISTER YOUR CHILDREN
If you are bringing your children along, please complete the registration form attached.
Registration is very important so that we know our numbers and can properly cater and prepare a fun, safe and fulfilling day for everyone.
DONATIONS NEEDED
We will also be collecting a number of items to distribute to those in need.
If you would like to help, you are welcome to purchase any of the items listed below and bring them with you on the day.
Alternatively, financial donations can be made directly to St Timothy’s Community Meals Program. All financial support goes towards continuing this important work of providing meals and assistance to people in need.

Let’s give our children and young people the opportunity to spend part of their long weekend doing something meaningful — coming together as an Orthodox Christian community, enjoying fellowship and, most importantly, serving those who need our help.
We hope to see many of you there!
