Scam Emails

Please note everyone that scam emails are being circulated falsely in the name of Bishop Elpidios. However, below are some points in how you can help mitigate the issue and protect others:

  1. Verify the Sender’s Address:
    • Anyone receiving suspicious emails should carefully check the sender’s email address. If it does not match Bishop Elpidios’ official email, they should disregard the message entirely. Scammers often use addresses that look similar but contain slight variations (e.g., extra letters or domains like “gmail.com” instead of His Grace’s legitimate domain).
  2. Do not Click Links or Attachments:
    • Never open links or download attachments in such emails, as these could lead to malware, phishing sites, or further scams.
  3. Report and Block the Emails:
    • Mark the emails as spam or phishing in your email service (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) and block the sender to prevent future contact. Most email platforms have built-in tools for reporting abuse.
