WELCOME

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men

The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady – Evangelismos (Ευαγγελισμός), is located in Perth, Western Australia. The parish was established in 1958 with the purchase of land at the corner of Charles and Carr Streets in West Perth. Our Priest is Fr. Emmanuel Stamatiou.

Our aim is to always strive to practice the Orthodox Christian faith pure and undefiled.

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”
(1 Corinthians 16:13)

The Orthodox Church is the One and undivided Body of Christ. It is the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church (Nicene Creed – 325 and 381 AD). It is the One and only true Church, the One and only true faith, according to the teachings of Jesus Christ Himself unchanged by human innovation. We strive to practice the teachings of Christ as handed down to the Apostles from the beginning in a continuous and unbroken Holy Tradition.

The purpose of the Church is to heal and save the souls of the people. The healing power of God is bestowed to the people through the active energy of the Holy Spirit by way of the Holy Sacraments of the Church.

We have two active Bible Study groups (morning and evening), Saturday language classes and Sunday school for children, Adult Catechism, Greek and English Services, a Bookshop and Library, and much more – all of which serve to bring people together, a community of the faithful with Christ at its centre.

You are welcome to browse through the different resources available here on our website and even come and visit us at the Church. Church services and other programs and activities are listed below.

Our website is being continually updated. Your subscription will allow you to receive these regular updates and notifications.
