History
In June 2006, a sub-committee was formed to establish a bookstore at the Church of Evangelismos. It took six months to source suppliers, purchase, price and catalogue the initial 200 or so items. Many donations were received for purchases.
The opening of the bookstore became a reality in December 2006 with Father Emmanuel Stamatiou conducting an Agiasmo Service. It has continued to grow and continues to grow considerably ever since.
Continuing to expand and grow, in 2017 the bookstore was moved to a larger and more permanent location in the house opposite the Church. With the increased number of books and sales being made, it was decided to further expand it into a second room in August of 2018.
General Information
The bookstore was established for the purpose of being a resource for Orthodox Christianity and for anyone seeking information and truth about the true and original Christian Church in all of her richness.
There are a large variety of books and other resources suitable for all ages covering all aspects of spiritual life and life amongst the Church. These categories include, spiritual, wellness, theology, sacraments, liturgical, children’s books, cookbooks, inspirational novels, lives of saints, icons, CD’s and many religious items such as, hand censors, oil lamps, prayer ropes, greeting cards, bookmarks, and anditheron bags. If you find there is a book that is not stocked that you are interested in, it can be ordered in for you. Orders made through the book store will cost you less than single purchases you make directly via the Internet, as the bookstore attracts significant discounts for bulk purchases.

All are welcome to come and browse the bookstore each Sunday after the Liturgy or on select days during the week (opening hours listed below), or by contacting Fr Emmanuel for other times.
To the best of the abilities of those serving on staff, the bookstore is here to educate, serve and augment the Orthodox Christian faith.
Our aim is to continue to grow and supply a wide range of Orthodox Christian books and gifts. Donations are welcome as they assist us in expanding the variety and number of books available.
