WAMGLTA Launches New Website

The West Australian Modern Greek Language Teachers’ Association Inc. (WAMGLTA) is proud to announce that it now has a new website (https://wamglta.weebly.com).

Many months in the making, and a work in progress, as all websites should be, it is a product of many hours of labour from Executive Committee member, Ms Nina Battalis, who has worked closely with the Chair and other members of the Executive Committee to bring the website up to its current standard. Ms Battalis is thanked publicly for her exceptional efforts!

We invite you to take a look at our new website and to consider becoming a member of WAMGLTA.

WAMGLTA Speak Greek in June Competition

I take this opportunity to reminder our Greek Education Providers that the WAMGLTA Speak Greek in June Competition concludes on Saturday 4 July (details available on the website). The Committee hopes that students are enjoying the process of entering this competition, whilst doing their best to provide us with winning entries in keeping with the criteria!

Centre for the Greek Language Examinations 2020

I will also take this opportunity to remind everyone that registration for the Centre for the Greek Language (CGL) Examinations, which will be taking place in October due to the disruption of COVID-19, conclude on Sunday 28 June. Late registrations will not be accepted after this date. Please request details and/or forms from the Director of the CGL, Dr Angela Evangelinou-Yiannakis at angeliki_777@hotmail.com or CGL Committee member, Mrs Katerina Reklitis at kreklitis@staff.sag.wa.edu.au
