Dormition of the Theotokos Luncheon – A Great Response

Our annual luncheon for the Dormition of the Theotokos, of which our Church celebrates in part also, was held yesterday.

What can we say of the day? It couldn’t have gone better!

The pork and chicken Souvlakia were tender, juicy and delicious, the roast potatoes were beautifully cooked, and the salads were in abundance. On top of that, we had some of the Food Philosopher’s beautiful Donkey Olives imported from Greece, as part of the Meze plates. Plus all the desserts that were prepared and donated by the lovely people of our community.

We sold all the tickets and more; the house was full!

We’d like to thank everyone who came down to support this event of ours. There’s nothing better than seeing the community come together to celebrate one of the Church’s great feast days. It’s not simply a lunch, it’s a family gathering 🙂

Thank you also to all the helpers that came in to make ready all the preparations, without whom, the day wouldn’t have been the success it was. These people give up their time, tirelessly working together for the good of the church and community.

Thank you all!!!
